Minecraft Dungeons

I am sure you have heard of the legendary sandbox game known as Minecraft. But have you heard of its spin-of? Well, if you have not, it is time for you to learn more about Minecraft Dungeons.

Ok so what is Minecraft Dungeons? Well, it is a game developed by the Mojang, the creators of Minecraft and also with the help of British game studio Double Eleven. It’s a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler game based on the Minecraft universe.

The game was released on May 26, 2020 and is available on Minecraft’s official website, the Microsoft store, xbox, play-station store, and Nintendo switch. The game is written on Unreal Engine so there is no doubt it will make a good dungeon crawling game like Diablo. The game is currently in its 4th season, Howling Peaks. You can get daily updates for the game via twitter.

Like it’s parent, Minecraft Dungeons has it’s own merch. Toys, lego minifigures, keychains, you name it! There’s even a Minecraft Dungeons novel called “Rise of the Arch-Illager” written by the amazing Matt Forbeck.

Unlike its predecessor, Markus Alexej Persson, the creator of Minecraft is not involved in any part of Minecraft Dungeons. The soundtracks of Minecraft Dungeons are not made by C418 this time but instead made by Peter Hont, Johan Johnson and Samuel Aberg, a few new employees of Mojang. The full game soundtrack can be found at spotify. In my opinion, the soundtrack is perfect for a dungeons-crawler game.

Alright, so how does the gameplay work? The game supports up to four players and features various new weapons, items, and mobs, as well as a variety of environments to explore and an overarching quest that sees players face off against a main antagonist, called the Arch-Illager. There are quests that the player must complete in different locations. For example, Creeper Woods.

Now let’s talk about your character. When creating a character, players can choose a skin which best suits them. There are loads pf characters that can be chosen. You can’t upload your own custom skins into Minecraft Dungeons. For the skins in Minecraft Dungeons, the player model with an arm thickness of 3 pixels is used.

As a conclusion, Minecraft Dungeons is a great game though many doubt it will defeat it’s parent, it may defeat many other games. Amazing game
